Looks like a busy weekend at Poppy Boxwood's!
Did you make your reservation?
Do you know what football team to cheer for?...cause after all, that's your ticket in!
Should be fun!

Closed today!

It's Monday...wooo hoo! I have so much to do today. Nothing like procrastinating by blogging!
So far, the most enjoyable part of my day has been looking at really cool pictures like the one above! I can get lost on flickr.

beautiful backyard bistro

Back from camp.... and wishing this little set was sitting outside my backdoor! I wanted to take a bistro table to camp for the front porch... but the husband vetoed the suggestion!

Missed opportunity...

Should have thrown all my smelly, damp, dirty laundry in the campfire when I had the chance!
For some reason, EVERYTHING needs washed...even the clothes we didn't wear! I'm going out to my backyard...let the bonfire begin!

and so it ends...

at the chapel for a communion service. Grammy and GW had to leave to come home. We are there in spirit. What a great week.

PLAY BALL!

Camp softball game was Friday after lunch. John, Josh and Ryan played while we watched after the national anthem, of course! How else do you start a competitive sporting event at camp?
Josh has a great hit....line drive to a mean man who caught it. What's that all about?
Ryan hit a fly ball to another mean man...his father....don't they know the rules?

Boo, hiss! Just kidding! She was actually cheering!

Another day, another activity....Olympics!

Oh my goodness! No wonder Grammy is tired! Our days are filled!Ryan pushing the ball with his nose after spinning around with his forehead on a baseball bat!
Kyle throwing the ball through the hoop...nice shot!

Josh in the sack race after spinning around with his head on a baseball bat

Elyse on the hunt for eggs....what time of year is it anyway?!

Melt down

Elyse had a major melt down today....it actually was a continuation of yesterdays little episode! We finally decided we needed to give Miss Crabby Pants to the next person to walk past...Mrs. Droopy Drawers!

It was Adam's friend from Monday night! Elyse went willingly. Woooo hoooo, a new babysitter!

Acceptable behavior....only at camp!

You can go for a run in your pj's,

you can be oh so lazy in your top bunk,

you can wear your chair,

you can eat your breakfast on the road,

you can leave your dirty socks on the front porch.

SLIPPIN' and SLIDIN'

we LOVE slip -n -slide day!

The whole family goes down together!

And now, just the boys....not sure how Ryan got thrown off!

beach time!

Wednesday morning we went down to the beach to collect ROCKS! There are no shells here...it's not that kind of beach! But the kids love it!

I love this picture of Ryan

Check out Kyle's bathing suit. His pockets are FULL of rocks! I hate when that happens!

Mission complete....Sara and John will be buiding a new patio with all the stones they gathered

and so it continues....

The kids are having such a great time. The temps have cooled and it's somewhat lovely...as lovely as Lambec can be! After taking tues off to run home to find the next surprise of the week:
I decided Lambec wasn't so bad after all! I made some phone calls, conferred with some people and left town again! Didn't want to miss CARNIVAL at Lambec!

But first.....a nap. Elyse actually fell asleep in the dining hall during dinner!

Now she's ready for the bike parade and games!

Check out Kyle's blue face! That was just the beginning of him ingesting all kinds, and forms of sugar, culminating with him throwing up! Aren't you glad I shared that!

what fun!

This is what the clothes line looked like on the FIRST DAY, after 4 little ones had a little too much fun at the lake! It started with just putting their feet in! You know how that goes!

Monday was full of fun...the temp dropped (a little) and it was almost bearable!

We had craft time! Actually, only the aunts had craft time! The rest of us just watched and marveled at the fact that this potholder was started last year!

We fished in the pond! After a 20 mile trip to the worm store....code for: lets get in the air conditioned car and run a very unnecessary errand...we fished for awhile! Josh caught one immediately! It was a whale I think! I screamed like a girl when it jumped out of the water...and then it got away...hence, no picture!

We had a little bit of a rain delay...then time for dinner and more bike riding then, more fishing, then smores by the campfire, games at the rec. hall and, the BIG SURPRISE VISITOR: ADAM showed up! Thought he wasn't coming

BIG....as in too big to fit in my room! It was really very comical...we couldn't move unless he was up in his bed, which according to him took a very technical gymnastic move with a very high degree of diffuculty. George gave him a 3! It wasn't pretty!

Not sure you can tell, but Elyse has marshmallow from her smores all over her face...and her PJ's say: s'more kisses please! So cute and so not planned!

Adam makes friends....afterall, that's what we do at Lambec. It was so funny because she really wouldn't stop talking to him.

Adam and Maggie catching up and making new memories .

Lambec day 1

the excited arrival!

Sara and John setting up housekeeping....all the comforts of home! Did I mention it was only 98 degrees...outside! Add 6000 for inside! Did I mention Sara and John have 3 sets of bunk beds in that little room! That is the big room in the cabin....mine is so small, I can't even take a picture!

Josh's amazing discovery! Yep, we're not in one of the renovated cabins this year...the walls only go MOST of the way up! Enough room to sneak a small child through!

An outside shot of our home for the week!

Monday morning...after very little sleep Sunday night! I haven't found anyone in our cabin that slept last night....really hot!

And so it begins!...I go home tomorrow for a much needed break from all this fun!

Look out Lambec...here we come!

this is what Sara's van will look like!

You can't pack too much for Lambec! Don't forget to throw your happy face in!
