SLIPPIN' and SLIDIN'

we LOVE slip -n -slide day!

The whole family goes down together!

And now, just the boys....not sure how Ryan got thrown off!

beach time!

Wednesday morning we went down to the beach to collect ROCKS! There are no shells here...it's not that kind of beach! But the kids love it!

I love this picture of Ryan

Check out Kyle's bathing suit. His pockets are FULL of rocks! I hate when that happens!

Mission complete....Sara and John will be buiding a new patio with all the stones they gathered

and so it continues....

The kids are having such a great time. The temps have cooled and it's somewhat lovely...as lovely as Lambec can be! After taking tues off to run home to find the next surprise of the week:
I decided Lambec wasn't so bad after all! I made some phone calls, conferred with some people and left town again! Didn't want to miss CARNIVAL at Lambec!

But first.....a nap. Elyse actually fell asleep in the dining hall during dinner!

Now she's ready for the bike parade and games!

Check out Kyle's blue face! That was just the beginning of him ingesting all kinds, and forms of sugar, culminating with him throwing up! Aren't you glad I shared that!

what fun!

This is what the clothes line looked like on the FIRST DAY, after 4 little ones had a little too much fun at the lake! It started with just putting their feet in! You know how that goes!

Monday was full of fun...the temp dropped (a little) and it was almost bearable!

We had craft time! Actually, only the aunts had craft time! The rest of us just watched and marveled at the fact that this potholder was started last year!

We fished in the pond! After a 20 mile trip to the worm store....code for: lets get in the air conditioned car and run a very unnecessary errand...we fished for awhile! Josh caught one immediately! It was a whale I think! I screamed like a girl when it jumped out of the water...and then it got away...hence, no picture!

We had a little bit of a rain delay...then time for dinner and more bike riding then, more fishing, then smores by the campfire, games at the rec. hall and, the BIG SURPRISE VISITOR: ADAM showed up! Thought he wasn't coming

BIG....as in too big to fit in my room! It was really very comical...we couldn't move unless he was up in his bed, which according to him took a very technical gymnastic move with a very high degree of diffuculty. George gave him a 3! It wasn't pretty!

Not sure you can tell, but Elyse has marshmallow from her smores all over her face...and her PJ's say: s'more kisses please! So cute and so not planned!

Adam makes friends....afterall, that's what we do at Lambec. It was so funny because she really wouldn't stop talking to him.

Adam and Maggie catching up and making new memories .

Lambec day 1

the excited arrival!

Sara and John setting up housekeeping....all the comforts of home! Did I mention it was only 98 degrees...outside! Add 6000 for inside! Did I mention Sara and John have 3 sets of bunk beds in that little room! That is the big room in the cabin....mine is so small, I can't even take a picture!

Josh's amazing discovery! Yep, we're not in one of the renovated cabins this year...the walls only go MOST of the way up! Enough room to sneak a small child through!

An outside shot of our home for the week!

Monday morning...after very little sleep Sunday night! I haven't found anyone in our cabin that slept last night....really hot!

And so it begins!...I go home tomorrow for a much needed break from all this fun!

Look out Lambec...here we come!

this is what Sara's van will look like!

You can't pack too much for Lambec! Don't forget to throw your happy face in!

I wish I knew...

... if I just feel like I was robbed blind, or if I really was! I just bought a usb mobile broadband thing and I'm just not sure about it. I wish I could own a company and sell products for a listed price and then tack on a bunch of other charges as a sweet little surprise! I guess the charges are up there somewhere in the air, like the cell signals....you can't ever see them, but they're there! I sure hope this works this week!
