Coloring eggs, etc!

And so it begins. All white and clean. Ten dozen of these babies.
Some people do this in a very neat and organized way. We arm ourselves with paper towels, put on old clothes, cover valuables, and brace ourselves for the pending danger. We watch as our peeps throw caution to the wind and stand on chairs while passing cups of dye to each other. They lean on shaky tables making the dye swish dangerously close to the tops of their cups. We have drips, & spills and dye everywhere. One year, even the dog became a victim of spilled pink dye. You never know how it's going to go... and we look forward to it every year!

Look at the concentration.

Sprocket wants in on the action.

How on earth did that get there?

Beauty-ous.

Tending to the task at hand.

Demonstrating 2 of the previously mentioned tricks: standing on the chair WHILE leaning on the shaky table. She's quite adept at both of these skills, and to do them simultaneously and not spill anything....remarkable. I gave her an 8.

Sometimes we color eggs with crayons and then dye them! Not usually black, but hey, he was happy.

If the eggs are blue and yellow and peach, why are his fingers black?

I love the smile on the happy yellow egg...just like the smiles on the kids!
